As IMC, we are aware of the pollution in the world. Our aim is to inform more people about sustainability. Hence we organized a conference named IMC Talks. We invited Gülçin İster -a successful business EHS Manager and a woman engineer in International Paper company- and we were informed about sustainable forests. The second speaker was Bora Akgün, a physicist academician at Boğaziçi University who also worked at CERN for many years. We learned about sustainable energy with him. The last speaker was Bahar Özay, the representative of UN SDSN Turkey. We discussed sustainability in general terms and talked about 17 different SDSN goals to provide information about areas of extension. We reached out to 55 people around Turkey. With the conference, we were able to raise awareness of sustainability.
